Rose: The Return
I created this illustration of Derrick Rose in 2013, during all the hype before his return from an ACL injury that sidelined him during the 2012 playoffs. When I created this piece, I was heavily inspired by the great work from Stanley Chow, and his ability to capture a person’s likeness with simple geometric shapes.
Several years later…
Sadly, after several more major injuries, Derrick never quite regained the dominance on the court that he had circa 2010 – 2012.
