101WKQX Logo

There’s been a trend in which more-sophisticated websites are animating their masthead logos whenever users hover over… it’s a subtle, yet clever detail, kinda like an Easter egg, or something. So, I challenged myself to create something for 101WKQX. I think the result is pretty fitting for an Alternative Rock station.

Quick Sketch:

Just laying out the simple idea of the Chicago star expanding in size, and even pulsing, causing the head and headphones to expand horizontally in reaction to the pulsing star.
