Foo Fighters at Wrigley Field

Leading up to the big concert at the “friendly confines”, I pitched an idea to the Promotions Department to create custom t-shirts outside the stadium as part of a guerilla marketing campaign to help promote the radio station 101WKQX. I wanted to borrow the simplistic graphic style that was used for the Dave Matthews Band t-shirts my friends and I designed a few years earlier. Below, are two different concepts that I felt would resonate with fans of the Foo Fighters and fans of our Alternative Rock radio station.

Both nights the Foo Fighters performed, rabid fans clammored to our pop-up tents outside the stadium for a free shirt. Several hundred t-shirts were GONE within minutes!

This first concept focuses on Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and captures his energetic playing style.
